ARLINGTON, Wash. - A woman airlifted to Harborview Medical Center after she was shot in Arlington has died.
Police and firefighters received a report of the shooting in the 6800 block of 188th Street Northeast at 2:56 p.m. Tuesday.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 26-year-old Arlington woman with a gunshot wound to the head.
Arlington fire transported the woman to Airlift Northwest’s base at the Arlington Airport. She was flown to Harborview in Seattle, where she died at 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Identification of the victim as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police are investigating the death as a homicide. No details about the motive or a suspect have been released.
