Video tour of Northwestern and Wizard from 'Deadliest Catch'

The effects of the government shutdown have trickled into the world of crab fishing.

The Alaskan King Crab season starts to today but because of the shutdown no permits are being processed.

For local crab fishermen and reality television stars Keith Colburn and Sig Hansen, this means no fishing.

The two have made it big as part of Discovery's  "Deadliest Catch."

"Deadliest Catch" is a reality television series that depicts life aboard crab fishing boats in Alaska's Bering Sea.

Both Hansen and Colburn keep their boats in Seattle when not fishing in some of the world's most dangerous fishing grounds.

In 2008 SeattleInsider hopped aboard the Northwestern for an exclusive video tour of Hansen's boat.

And in 2011 SeattleInsider received exclusive access to board the Wizard for a tour of Colburn's boat.
