United Airlines flies its first 787 from Boeing Field

SEATTLE —

United Airlines’ first Boeing 787 Dreamliner took off from Boeing Field on Friday, the first of five new Dreamliners the airline is getting this year. 

 

United has ordered 50 Dreamliners.  The airline is taking delivery of the first five of them this year.

 

The new jet was heading to Houston, one of United's hubs.

 

On Monday, ANA is making its inaugural 787 flight from Sea-Tac to Narita, Tokyo.
