UK Round-the-World Cyclists Killed in Thailand

A British couple have been killed in a Thai traffic accident while on a trip round-the-world cycling trip. Mary Thompson and Peter Root were on a highway east of Bangkok when they were reportedly hit by a pick-up truck. Their belongings were recovered by police, who say a 25-year-old has admitted hitting the cyclists. He's been charged with causing death and dangerous driving. Thompson and Root started their trip in 2011.
