Two rescued after SUV plummets down embankment near Shelton

SHELTON, Wash. — Two people were rescued from an SUV after it rolled down a steep embankment near Shelton.

The SUV came to rest close to the water’s edge in Oakland Bay Tuesday morning.

Rescuers had to use a boat to reach the crash victims.

Both patients were taken by the boat to a waiting helicopter and ambulance.

One of the two victims has serious injuries.

It is not known what caused the SUV to plunge down the embankment near Highway 3.
