Two rafters rescued on Puyallup River

PUYALLUP, Wash. — Rescuers say life jackets would have made a big difference for two people who were stranded and rescued in the Puyallup River.

Central Pierce Fire and Rescue were called to the river Sunday after three people were thrown out of their raft when it hit a log.

One person managed to get to shore.

Two others had to hang onto a tree branch until they were rescued.

Everyone is OK.
