Two men shot at South Seattle Park

SEATTLE - Police said two men in a car were shot early Tuesday at a South Seattle park.

One victim's girlfriend told police they had been parked at Kubota Gardens, at 9800 55th Ave. S., when a car drove into the park.

Two black men got of the car and took the woman’s purse from her vehicle.

One of the men then shot both of the victims, who were seated in another parked car.  The men then fired shots at the woman’s car before fleeing.

The two victims, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, were dropped off at Harborview Medical Center shortly before 1 a.m.  One man had a gunshot wound on his leg and abdomen; the second man had a gunshot wound on his arm.

Officers went to Kubota Gardens but did not locate any casings, vehicles or other evidence.
