Two flashing incidents reported near Western Wash. University

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Campus police are looking for a flasher near the Western Washington University campus and there could be more than one suspect.

There were two different reports taken in the last 12 hours.

The latest incident happened shortly before midnight. Students sent KIRO 7 copies of the text alert they received from the college at 1 a.m. Friday.

It said, "A man exposed himself to 3 female Western students walking on Jersey St., at Maple St., near campus at 11:54 p.m.Thursday.  He fled on foot."

There was no description given in that incident.

Seven hours earlier, the university sent this text to students:

"Police report that a man in a brown Chevy Pickup truck exposed himself to a female Western student in the 25500 of Taylor Street at 4:54 p.m. (Thursday).

The victim in that incident gave police a description.

The flasher is described as white, in his 30s with brown hair. He was driving a light brown pickup with Washington license plates.

The victim wasn't able to get the full license plate number, but said it started with the letter "B."

It's not yet known if police believe the two flashing incidents were committed by the same person.
