Two arrested in fatal shooting at King Oscar Motel

TACOMA, Wash. — Two men were arrested in the murder of another Tacoma resident Saturday morning.

According to the Tacoma News Tribune, the suspects  were booked into the Pierce County Jail on suspicion of murder.

The fatal shooting occurred  in one of the motel rooms at the King Oscar Motel on South Hosmer Street, according to Tacoma police.

The medical examiner's office said the victim,  41-year-old  Kevin Young, was killed due to a "shotgun wound to the abdomen."

Tacoma Police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said that Young's girlfriend called 911 at about 6 a.m. Thursday, saying he had been shot.

Young was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center. He was pronounced dead later that afternoon.

"The detectives investigating developed probable cause for the arrest of these two individuals," Cool said.
