Truck smashes into Pacific home, keeps on going

PACIFIC, Wash. — Police in Pacific said someone drove a truck into a house early Wednesday then hit the gas and kept on going.

The corner of a house on Third Avenue Southeast and Butte Avenue was damaged during the crash.

Police said two men in an older-model Dodge pickup slammed into the home shortly before 2 a.m. Wednesday.

After the crash, the men fled on Third.

Auburn police assisted Pacific officers in searching for the truck, but it was not found.

The damaged home now has a "do not enter" notice on the door.  The home was deemed unsafe to occupy, according to code enforcement.
