Troopers look for witnesses in fatal pedestrian collision on I-5

SHORELINE, Wash. - A 17-year-old girl died early Saturday morning after being struck by multiple vehicles on Interstate 5 and troopers are looking for witnesses, according to the Washington State Patrol.

 

According to troopers, the incident happened before 1 a.m., when Washington State Patrol dispatchers received reports of a pedestrian standing alone on the side of the Northeast 145th overpass for southbound I-5.

 

When troopers arrived at the location, they found the girl fatally injured in the center lane of southbound I-5.

 

According to witnesses, the girl was struck by several vehicles and a semi-truck, but did not stop.
