"This is what it's all about, being able to give back to people who may have not had nothing to eat for Thanksgiving, but we're fortunate enough, we're blessed enough to give back," Snoop told KGO-TV. "So every year we look forward to doing it."

This is the third year in a row that Snoop has participated in the event. He teamed up this year with Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts to give away frozen turkeys and other foods so that families in the Inglewood area and elsewhere could have a Thanksgiving dinner.

"To be able to come back and give back when you (are) blessed, to put smiles on people's faces, to be able to feed people … I love to help because I was given opportunity," Snoop said. "I'm the gift that keeps on giving."

KGO reported that 4,000 people attended the event.
