A female nurse was stabbed several times with an ink pen by an angry patient, according to Worcester District Court documents.
Loren Richard Rosenburg is the patient who is charged with stabbing a nurse at University Hospital in Worcester.
The nurse asked Rosenburg what was wrong and, police said, he replied, “You’ll see,” before stabbing her with an ink pen.
He allegedly swung the pen over his head and stabbed her in the face making downward motions.
Police said the the pen caused “mutilating” damage to her upper lip and she will require plastic surgery.
Police officers who tried to subdue Rosenburg said he became combative, kicking one of them in the shin and the other in the groin.
Rosenburg has been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with intent to murder or maim, mayhem and two counts of assault and battery on a police officer.
