Melania Trump was a supermodel before marrying Donald Trump and she now has a jewelry line.

As the former model walked to the lectern at her husband's rally following his primary victory in Indiana, Matthews was heard commenting on her walk.

"Did you see her walk? Runway walk," Matthews said. "My God is that good."

As Brian Williams attempted to go to commercial during coverage, Matthews, seemingly unaware that he was audible, continued. "I could watch that runway show," he said.

"Melania Trump is an accomplished businesswoman and entrepreneur in her own right, achieving tremendous success in a variety of industries, including an illustrious modeling career, as well as being a dedicated wife and mother," a spokesperson for Melania Trump told Variety. "It is unfortunate to see the continuous inaccuracies and misrepresentations made by the media of Mrs. Trump as anything less than the independently successful woman that she is."

This is not the first time Matthew's has been criticized for sexist remarks.

In 2008, he apologized for comments he made about Hillary Clinton during MSNBC's "Morning Joe," saying it was not "fair to imply that Hillary's whole career depended on being a victim of an unfaithful husband."

CNN reported that in 2011, Matthews made a remark about Sarah Palin's walk during an episode of "Hardball with Chris Matthews."

"When she walks and moves, there‘s something electric about it," he said, adding that "she looks, obviously, very attractive."
