FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. — Four people are now in custody after a mobile methamphetamine lab was discovered in a vehicle parked near a Walmart in Florida.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office says it was discovered around 6 p.m. Wednesday in a Walmart parking lot.

Deputies found the mobile meth lab in a red Pontiac Sunfire while investigating a shoplifting report.

According to CCSO, a bottle filled with chemicals was found in the car and neutralized by narcotics detectives.

The immediate area around the red car was cleared of vehicles and people by CCSO soon after the mobile meth lab was discovered. Deputies say it was for safety reasons because they were concerned the bottle might blow up.

The drivers of the vehicles parked near that Pontiac were told to move their cars away. The Pontiac itself was taken from the scene some time later.

The two men and two women allegedly involved in running the lab are now at Clay County Jail. They've been identified as 45-year-old Michelle L. Paradee, 26-year-old Jonathan S. Phillips, 20-year-old Brandon S. McKinney and 19-year-old Adrian L. Winnie.

One of the men and women arrested were hosed off by first responders at the scene before they were taken to jail.

Phillips is charged with manufacturing meth and trafficking in meth, while the other three are charged with conspiracy to manufacture meth.

McKinney and Phillips are also charged with retail petit theft, while Winnie faces an additional charge of fentanyl possession.

All four are due in court on Thursday and are held without bond at the county jail until then.
