‘Love and Hip Hop' star arrested at Atlanta nightclub

Karen King

ATLANTA — A star of the popular reality show 'Love and Hip Hop Atlanta' is in trouble with the law.

Atlanta police confirms the arrest of Karen "KK" King. She was charged with fraud and theft, according to Rodney Ho of the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

The incident happened Monday night at a nightclub.

King was charged with Financial Identity Fraud, Theft By Taking, Forgery in the First Degree.

Police did not release details of the arrest or what nightclub she was at.

The police department did provide an arrest report to Ho from October 2015. King was accused of embezzling merchandise from a Saks Fifth Avenue at Phipps Plaza. King was allegedly involved with two other parties (including an employee) using a stolen credit card to purchase nearly $5,000 in merchandise.  She had allegedly entered the store in August, 2015 and pretended to be Diane Wodey, who didn’t actually have a Saks account. The employee Armani Harper received kickbacks, the report said.

It wasn’t until October that the store noticed missing merchandise and put in the report to the APD.

King was imprisoned in 2013 as a fugitive after being featured on “America’s Most Wanted.” She was accused of beating up an ex-boyfriend. Among the charges at the time: aggravated assault with intent to murder, aggravated battery with intent to disfigure, kidnapping, armed robbery, and various drug related charges.

Information from the Atlanta-Journal Constitution was used in this report.
