ROSWELL, Ga. — A Roswell, Georgia, piano teacher with access to hundreds of students over decades of instruction was arrested Thursday on child molestation charges, police said.
Two alleged victims came forward to accuse Troy Lawrence Palmer of molesting them "multiple times between 2008 and 2012 while inside Palmer's home," according to Roswell police spokeswoman Officer Lisa Holland.
Holland said that investigators believe there could be more victims.
The claims were investigated by the Roswell Police Department, along with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. Palmer, 55, was served with an arrest warrant at his home Thursday morning.
“Mr. Palmer is a piano teacher and had taught piano out of his home for the last 13 years, but has been teaching piano for over 35 years,” Holland said. “Palmer has taught piano at multiple music academies, as well as at Georgia State University from 1995 until 2000. Over this period of time, he has given hundreds of students piano lessons.”
He is facing two counts of aggravated child molestation.
