This isn’t the first time Machado has spoken out about the presidential candidate. Here are five instances between the Republican nominee and the former Miss Universe:

In a 1997 report by CNN, it was reported that nine months after being crowned Miss Universe, Machado gained "nearly 60 pounds." In the article, Trump told CNN that some people "eat too much" when they get under pressure and said that "a lot of you folks have weight problems."

2. Machado told The New York Times that Trump “pushed her to lose weight”

In a report by the newspaper in May, Machado detailed what happened after she gained the weight, saying that she asked for time to "recuperate," but was thrust back into the limelight.

“I said, 'I don’t want to do this, Mr. Trump.' He said, 'I don’t care,' ” Machado told The New York Times. Trump added that he “will plead guilty” to pushing her to lose weight.

3.  Trump referred to Machado as an “eating machine” during a Howard Stern interview

According to Politico, Trump used the phrase to describe Machado in an interview with the radio personality. Politico added that Trump also admitted to taking her to exercise in a gym while "nearly 100 media outlets" watched.

4. Machado detailed her Miss Universe experience with Trump during an interview with Inside Edition

In the May interview, Machado said that Trump is "not a good person" and said he "made her feel so fat" and it led to her being "very depressed." According to Inside Edition, a reporter asked Trump at the time what would happen if his then-wife Marla struggled with weight issues. He replied, "Well, I'd probably do the same thing with her. I'd say 'start working out.' No, I wouldn't. Still a very interesting question."

5. Trump said Tuesday that Machado’s weight and attitude were a “real problem”

In the interview with Fox and Friends on Tuesday, Trump called Machado “the worst.”

“She was the winner, and she gained a massive amount of weight, and it was a real problem. ... not only that, her attitude," Trump told the panel. "And Hillary went back into the years and ... found the girl and talked about her like she was Mother Teresa, and it wasn't quite that way, but that's OK. Hillary has to do what she has to do."

The Clinton campaign responded by tweeting out an interview with Machado where she talked about being “scared of (Trump)” and saying that he was “overwhelming” and yelled at her “all the time.”
