Wind-toppled trees cut power to thousands

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Seattle City Light says 4,000 are without power in the Discovery Park area, North Queen Anne and Fremont because a tree came down onto a line.  City Light said power should be restored by 5 p.m.

Puget Sound Energy says 7,500 customers are without power in Thurston County.

Wind-toppled trees are to blame for outages in 26 different locations, PSE said.

Outside of Thurston County, around 2,500 customers are without power, including 800 in West Issaquah because of a branch that fell onto a transmission line.

There are also scattered outages in northern King County.
