Updated:BATTLE GROUND, Wash. —
A 17-year-old girl is facing criminal charges after admitting to texting and using FaceTime and Snapchat – all while driving her car.
Talk about multi-tasking.
The girl was driving Northbound along SR 503 when her vehicle clipped the rear of a car in front of her, forcing the car into a ditch.
The girl’s car spun clockwise, rolling to a stop on its top in the northbound lanes.
According to the State Patrol, the vehicle in front of her was trying to turn into a driveway when the driver saw the car behind her approaching at a high rate of speed.
The driver attempted to veer right to get out of the way.
The girl was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. She was charged with reckless driving.
The other driver was uninjured.
The crash restricted traffic to a single lane for roughly two hours.
