Tacoma house fire ruled arson

TACOMA, Wash. — A fire that damaged a Tacoma home late Saturday evening was intentionally set, fire investigators said.

The fire broke out at a home in the 6600 block of South Warner Street after 11:30 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to the location and when they arrived, fire and smoke were seen from the one-story, 600 sq. ft. house.

No one was inside of the home after crews did a search.

Firefighters extinguished the flames.

Fire officials ruled the fire as arson and the Tacoma Police Department will do a follow-up investigation.

The damages were estimated at $103,500 to the building and its contents.
