OLYMPIA, Wash. — Officers arrested an armed wanted man living in an Olympia apartment Friday evening with the help of a Thurston County SWAT team, police said.

The incident happened before 8 p.m. at the Ashwood Downs apartments in the 1800 block of Ashwood Downs Lane Southeast.

Police said before the man was taken into custody, he was transported to Providence St. Peter’s Hospital to be medically evaluated prior to being booked into the Thurston County Jail for fourth-degree domestic violence, felony harassment and assault, outstanding felony warrants and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
