WHITE CENTER, Wash. - King County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal Wednesday morning shooting in White Center.
Police were called to the scene near Southwest 108th Street and Second Avenue Southwest about 2:15 a.m. where a man, who was wounded in the back, was lying in the road.
Residents were alerted by a man who was banging on doors and yelling that someone had been shot. Police said that man had been with the victim at the time of the shooting.
The victim, a 23-year-old man, died at the scene.
Two men, described as black teenagers, were seen fleeing the area. One was 5 feet six inches tall wearing a red shirt and black pants. The other was 5 feet 8 inches tall wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
Deputies set up a perimeter in the neighborhood and brought in a K-9 unit, but no suspects were found.
