Thursday morning. According to King County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Sgt. Cindi West, deputies responded to reports of two suspects attempting to strip a vehicle in Maple Valley.

Deputies located the suspects in a vehicle and the suspects fled, leading a chase onto Maple Valley Highway.

Police said speeds reached upward of 80 mph, with the suspect driving into oncoming traffic at times. The pursuit ended near Interstate 405 when the suspects’ vehicle jumped a barrier wall and crashed into the building.

Both suspects fled on foot but were caught a short time after the crash.

The vehicle crashed through the glass door entrance of the building, and no other structural damage was reported.

    The woman sustained minor injuries.

According to West the two suspects - a man and woman - have a history with deputies.

“I understand that they do have history with us, the male is a convicted felon, but don’t know what for, but they are not unknown to law enforcement,” said West.

Police said there was stolen property inside of the vehicle and will continue their investigation.

Both suspects were booked into the King County Jail.
