Sultan woman arrested in neighbor's stabbing

SULTAN, Wash. — A 54-year-old Sultan woman was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault after a midnight stabbing in Sultan.

Investigators said they believe the woman was arguing with her neighbor on 132nd Street Southeast when she pulled a knife from her back pocket and stabbed him in the stomach.

Police said she then went back to her home and allowed detectives to search her house when they arrived. They recovered a knife from the scene.

The victim, a 52-year-old Sultan man, was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
