Fire investigators believe someone tried to burn down a special needs home Saturday evening.
The home is right at the intersection of North 165th Street and Fremont Avenue North.
Neighbors KIRO 7 spoke with said the home houses three special needs kids every year that require 24-7 care. They said there are often load noises that come from the home, but nothing like the fire has ever happened before.
Firefighters investigating the fire said it was suspicious. We tried to ask staff members outside the home about that, but they ushered the children away and would not even tell KIRO 7 the name of the group home.
Fortunately, firefighters confirmed no one was injured because everyone got out quickly after the fire began at about 8:30 in the evening.
