SPD parking officer struck in U-District hit-and-run

SEATTLE — Seattle police said a parking enforcement officer was struck in a hit-and-run collision Tuesday in the University District.

Police said the incident occurred at 12:36 p.m. in the 4300 block of University Way Northeast.

The officer was on duty when she was hit by the side mirror of a white Ford SUV.

Investigators said the driver immediately fled.

Officers are searching for the driver.

The officer was not hurt.
