A 25-year-old man has been charged in a DUI crash that sent a Pierce County sheriff's deputy to the hospital with serious injuries.
The crash happened at 9:45 p.m. Thursday at 125th Street South and Pacific Avenue South in Parkland.
The patrol car went over an embankment and rolled.
Deputy Sydney Davis was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma with a fractured neck.
She has since been released from the hospital.
The deputy's patrol car was totaled.
The suspect in the crash pleaded not guilty to vehicular assault Monday at arraignment in Pierce County Superior Court.
