Man sought in Tacoma takeover-style bank robbery

TACOMA, Wash. — Police are looking for a man who threatened to shoot people during a takeover-style bank robbery in Tacoma.

Investigators say a man robbed a Heritage Bank in the 1700 block of South Union Avenue in Tacoma at 9:15 a.m. Monday.

Police said he walked into the bank, showed a handgun, demanded cash from tellers, and then threatened to start shooting people if his demands were not met.

After receiving cash, the man walked out of the bank and headed west on South 17th Street.

The robber is described as white, in his late 20s or early 30s, about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds.  He was wearing a dark brown fake beard and mustache, a green hooded jacket, a black cap and wrap-around style sunglasses.
