SEATTLE - Seattle police are investigating whether a dispute on Facebook may have sparked the stabbing of a woman in South Park.
Officers said a witness found the victim lying on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of South Cloverdale Street at about 4:45 a.m. Friday and called 911.
Officers arrived at the scene and searched the area but weren’t able to find the attackers.
Before medics transported the woman to Harborview Medical Center, the victim told police she’d been waiting at a bus stop when two women attacked her, stabbed her in the face, shoulders and hands and fled the scene.
Police later learned that it appears the victim knows at least one of her attackers, and police are investigating whether some sort of disagreement on Facebook was behind the attack.
The victim’s condition is not known.
