Six injured in kirkland car accident

Kirkland, Wash. - A woman was transported to Harborview Hospital with a possible

brain injury last night, after being ejected from her car during a collision in Kirkland.

            Kirkland police and firefighters said they responded to the incident just after 6 p.m. yesterday near the 13800 block of Juanita Drive.

 A female driver was headed southbound on Juanita Drive when she crossed the centerline and hit a vehicle headed northbound containing five female passengers.

            According to the police report, the five women traveling northbound were all part of a bridal party. They were transported to Evergreen Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the southbound vehicle is expected to survive.

No other details have been released at this time.

 Kirkland police will continue to investigate the crash.
