Shots fired outside of Pioneer Square night club

SEATTLE — A fight between two groups at a Pioneer Square night club early Sunday morning led to shots being fired, police said.

After 2 a.m., a conflict started inside Club Volume at 172 South Washington Street. After the club closed, the groups went to their vehicles in a parking lot at Second Avenue and South Main Street.

According to police, a fistfight ensued and a Asian man pulled out a handgun from his vehicle and pointed it at the other group and fired shots in the air.

The man then jumped into the back seat of a vehicle, which fled eastbound on South Main Street.

Police described the vehicle as a black sedan, with dark-tinted windows and shiny rims. The car may be a Honda Civic or a Nissan Altima.

An officer heard the shots from a few blocks away and responded. A camera inside the officer’s patrol car captured the vehicle as it left, but a license plate number could not be seen.

Authorities will continue to investigate the incident.
