Shots fired in Belltown bar; no injuries

SEATTLE — Police said shots were fired inside a Belltown bar early Saturday morning and there were no injuries.

The incident happened at the Cellars Lounge in the 2100 block of First Avenue after 1 a.m.

According to police, a man was seen firing shots inside the establishment and ran out of the front exit. As he was running out, he dropped a handgun on the sidewalk.

A bouncer at Cellars Lounge stood on the gun until officers were able to recover it.

Police saw the man and chased him to the 2100 block of Western Avenue, where he was arrested.

The bouncer positively identified the 22-year-old man, who was booked him into the King County Jail for weapons violations.

No injuries were reported.

Officers found bullet holes in the ceiling of the bar.
