TUKWILA, Wash. - Black Friday is the typical start to the holiday shopping season, but many customers started lining up Thursday morning to grab the best deals.
Some retailers will open their doors Thursday night and into Friday morning.
KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Jeff Debois spoke with a shopper who has been first in line with his friends at the Tukwila Best Buy for the last seven years.
“We’re not crazy, we’re not crazy. Maybe just a little bit,” said shopper Tommy Trong.
Trong said it was worth waiting in the cold just to buy the deals even though Best Buy will not open until midnight.
Kmart, Sears, Toys R’ Us and Walmart will open their doors at 8 p.m. Thursday and Target will open at 9 p.m.
Along with Best Buy, Kohl’s and Macy’s will open at midnight.
On Friday, Fred Meyer, Lowe’s and Home Depot will open at 5 a.m. while Bed, Bath and Beyond and JC Penney will open at 6 a.m.
