Woman shoots man to death in Shoreline

SHORELINE, Wash. — Two people have been detained in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at a home in Shoreline.

King County Sheriff Steve Strachan said detectives believe one of the two detained is the person who shot the man at the home at 1620 145th Street.

Sgt. Katie Larson told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the victim appeared to be in his 40s. He was shot on the front lawn during a dispute.

Neighbors said they saw another woman at the house at the time of the shooting.  Police are searching for that person.

Strachan said the people involved knew each other and that one of the two people had a connection to the home where the shooting occurred.

A neighbor heard five shots; another neighbor heard yelling just before the gunfire, Johnson said.

Reporter Graham Johnson said he saw an SUV with a broken window that was involved.

Chopper 7, over the scene, showed the police response at 145th Street and Densmore. North 145th Street was blocked both eastbound and westbound.

The sheriff's office provides police services in the city of Shoreline, just north of Seattle.
