SEATTLE - A young woman was shot in Seattle's Kerry Park Friday morning, but her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The shooting happened shortly after 2 a.m. near the iconic sculpture that sits in the middle of the Queen Anne park, according to eyewitnesses.
Two people fled the scene and have not been found by police. Department spokespeople have not released a specific description.
A tow truck driver, who was called by police to pick up a Honda Civic at the scene, told KIRO 7 that the shooting may have been gang-related. Police said the incident was not random.
Kerry Park is in the 200 block of West Highland Drive, and is one of the busiest places in Seattle for tourists and locals.
