Shelters available during Puget Sound windstorm

Shelters available around Wash. during Oct. 15 windstorm. 

The three below severe weather shelters will open Saturday October 15, 2016. Guests will not be able to check in to the shelter after 10 p.m.

The Redmond Senior Center, located at 8703 160th Ave NE, will be open Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sheltering for homeless families is available at Redmond United Methodist Church, located at 16540 NE 80th St. will open the Eastside Winter Shelter serving families at 8:30 pm on Saturday.

City of Seattle storm response measures in support of the homeless include:

- -Seattle Center Fisher Pavilion co-ed weather shelter for 100 adults will operate Saturday and Sunday (10/15 - 10/16). Open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

- City Hall co-ed shelter will expand capacity Thursday through Tuesday (10/13 - 10/18) with an emphasis on accommodating women. Open from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

- King County shelter for adult males has expanded capacity to serve 50 additional men Thursday through Tuesday (10/13 - 10/18). Opens at 7 p.m.
