Seattle's iconic Hendrix statue vandalized again

SEATTLE — The iconic Jimi Hendrix statue on Capitol Hill was vandalized again Thursday night.

Someone slapped green paint its hands and face.

A worker at an art supply store right next to the statue said the culprit may have been a woman who bought green paint minutes earlier.

Neighbors said they are disgusted.

“I'm assuming it's somebody (who is) just a little off, hopefully. Hopefully more craziness than malice,” said Capitol Hill resident Abba Solomon.

The vandalism is similar to one that occurred in September.

Police said in that case, two young men bought paint from the art supply store then immediately sprayed the statue.
