Seattle police look for man who struck 2 with handgun


SEATTLE - Police are looking for an armed man who assaulted two people with a handgun Saturday evening, authorities said.


According to the Seattle Police Department, the incident happened at 9:30 p.m. when woman was walking with a man on 20th Avenue at East Yesler Way.


A 20-year-old man exited his Mercedes sedan and pointed a black handgun at the two people, police said.


According to police, the suspect pulled a necklace off of the man and hit him repeatedly with the handgun. The man had multiple cuts and bruises to his face.


After hitting the man, the suspect struck the woman twice with the handgun, which caused injuries to her face, police said.


The suspect then fled the scene in his car.


The incident remains as an active and ongoing investigation.
