Seattle police arrest serial exposer for 84th time

SEATTLE — A man who has been arrested dozens of times was arrested yet again by officers who found him masturbating outside a neighborhood pub in Columbia City, Seattle police said.

Police said Anthony Hawkins is known for indecent exposure.

Records show that Hawkins has been arrested 84 times in Seattle and King County.  At least four of the arrests were for indecent exposure.

In his latest arrest on Wednesday, officers were called to an alley just south of Rainier Avenue South and South Ferdinand Street for a report of a man masturbating.

Officers said they found Hawkins, 35, sitting on a staircase with his pants around his ankles, pleasuring himself.

When officers told him to stop, he refused and said he was nearly finished, Seattle police said.

Officers took the man into custody and spoke with witnesses at the scene, who said they had seen the man walking around the neighborhood yelling and grabbing people.

Hawkins was booked into the King County Jail on indecent exposure charges.

Bail has been denied.
