SEATAC, Wash. - A SeaTac man awoke to gunfire through his apartment window and realized he had been shot.
King County sheriff’s deputies said the victim was sleeping in his bedroom at an apartment complex in the 3400 block of South 176th Street when someone started shooting through his window about 4 a.m.
The 18-year-old victim was shot once in the abdomen.
He then went to a neighbor's apartment and asked them to call 911.
When police arrived, they found numerous bullet holes in the bedroom window and inside the apartment.
A K-9 unit conducted a search but the gunman was not found.
Police said they do not have a suspect description and do not believe the shooting was random.
The victim was transported to Harborview in serious condition.
