The celebration of Seattle's Super Bowl victory was so big, one stadium wasn't enough.
Thousands of Seahawks fans watched the parade and celebration at Safeco Field, right next door to CenturyLink Field.
At the request of the Seahawks, the Mariners scrambled to make the baseball stadium available for overflow seating.
The two upper decks were winterized with no running water, which left 27,000 seats available.
Fans reserved the free tickets within hours on short notice and overwhelmed the online ticketing system.
"It took about three hours to get the tickets," said fan Stuart Moulder. "I'm really excited. We've been waiting our whole lives for this. It's fantastic."
Shaded areas of the stadium were downright frigid.
Fans waited in line for hot drinks and looked for seats in the sun.
Kathy Manthey said the team's victory brought the community together.
"The excitement and the energy, I don't want it to ever end—so let’s do it again next year, OK?”
