SPU shooting victim out of intensive care

SEATTLE — The last victim still hospitalized at Harborview Medical Center after Thursday’s shooting at Seattle Pacific University has been moved out of intensive care, the hospital said Sunday morning.

Sarah Williams, a 19-year-old SPU student, is still in serious condition, hospital staff said.

Williams underwent a five-hour surgery for chest and abdominal wounds from a shotgun blast.

On Saturday night, a friend of Williams told KIRO 7 she was awake, talking and managing her pain.
