A downed power line caused house fires on both sides of the street in Lynnwood Thursday.
The fires broke out about 8:40 a.m. in the 17900 block of 36th Avenue West.
A power surge occurred when a tree fell on the line.
Two houses were involved. The fire was reported to be at 3 alarms.
One person had minor smoke inhalation.
