Renton burglars caught on camera

RENTON, Wash. — Residents off South 14th Street in Renton say burglars caught on camera breaking into a home with a video surveillance system was unsurprising, but still frustrating.

KIRO 7 spoke with residents who said unfortunately they are seeing a lot more petty crimes in their neighborhood lately.  The couple whose house was broken into said they were targeted last year as well.

In the video above you will see a balding man come down stairs and unlock the front door for his accomplice.  The two then run back upstairs with the alarms screaming at them, and leave less than a minute later with a purse and wallet.

The homeowners did not want to be interviewed on camera, but said they don’t know the two men.  They believe the first man to break in climbed a storm gutter.
