EVERETT, Wash. - Officials with the Snohomish County Public Utility District believe seagulls were the cause of a power outage in Everett Sunday.

About 1,000 customers were without power for 30 minutes.

According to officials, three to four seagulls tripped out the circuit at the Everett Waterfront substation.

When crews were at the substation they did not find the seagulls, which are presumed to be fine.

Crews quickly restored power to customers.
