Procter & Gamble recalls some dry pet food for possible Salmonella

Procter & Gamble has voluntarily recalled specific lots of dry pet food because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

No Salmonella-related illnesses have been reported.

Salmonella can affect animals eating the products and there is risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands afterhaving contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to the products.

Food includes a variety of Eukanuba and Iams foods for dog and cats.

Only specific lots are affected.  See the lot numbers and full news release here:
