President Obama arrives in Seattle for fundraising events

SEATTLE — Air Force One arrived as expected Sunday afternoon at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. President Barack Obama is visiting Seattle for two fundraising events for the Democratic Party.

Seattle is part of a three-day West Coast swing, with other visits in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Obama waved as he stepped off Air Force One.

Obama left the airport to make his first visit in North Seattle, which was sponsored by Zumiez clothing chain founder Tom Campion and his wife Sonya.

The second fundraiser was in Medina, hosted by former Microsoft executive Jon Shirely.

During the president’s visit, he will be staying at the Westin in downtown Seattle.
