SEATTLE - Some backups and traffic delays were expected Monday evening as Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden flew into Seattle for brief visits.
The vice president traveled to the Westin in Seattle where he attended a fundraiser for Senator Maria Cantwell.
Tickets to the fundraiser were priced between $50 and $250 per person.
Cantwell is seeking her third term in a race against Spokane state Senator Michael Baumgartner.
Drivers were advised to expect delays between Boeing Field and downtown Seattle at around 7 p.m.
Biden’s wife, Dr. Jill Biden, also flew into Seattle on Monday. Dr. Biden headed to the South Seattle Community College hangar at Boeing Field to talk about aviation, maritime and manufacturing jobs.
