Police: Woman robs International District bank

SEATTLE — Officers took a woman into custody Saturday morning after she robbed a bank in the International District, police said.

The robbery happened at a Bank of America in the 500 block of South Jackson Street around 9:30 a.m.

According to police, a woman walked into the bank, passed a note implying she had a gun and threatened to kill the bank employees if they didn’t comply with her demands for cash.

She fled the scene with an unknown amount of money and was found two hours later south of downtown by patrol officers.

The woman was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of robbery.

The robbery will remain as an active and ongoing investigation.
